Sweet Romantic Poems for True Love

The Chance of Happiness Equals the Risk of Pain
Romantic love poems by Nicholas Gordon

Whenever you love, it's too good to be true.
Even so, it's truer than you believe,
Nor will you know till it vanishes again.
Time is a sea which opens where you cleave
Yet roils over what you leave behind.

For now, my love sings in the stars,
Or hisses against rocks like the sea,
Unraveling your life when you pause to grieve,
Returning with the sunlight, with the rain.

Love Feeling
Romantic poem by Abigail Pearson

Valentines day brings me lots of happiness,
but inside sometimes i wish this day weren't here,
but now i have met you my hole life has changed
a lot , I've become a much better person
but inside i think of all the bad moments I've had
days were i wish i want here,
but its all changed now
thanks so much to you.

When I Close My Eyes

When I close my eyes
see a silhouette of my beloved’s pretty face
imagination transcends all tangible boundaries
Of beauty, delicacy, innocence & elegance
magnetism of her being infuses my mind
With her aromatic breath & heavenly fragrance

My body gets into weightlessness of valence
Feeling myself flying with the wafting air
Her silky hair flapping against my desolate cheeks
As if my thousand years barren soul getting resurrection
The shine in her starry black eyes
Envies the brightest stars in the skies

Her sweet words bring me down to my knees
Don’t let me go ahead without a wheeze.

The Love Unfeigned

romantic poems by Geoffrey Chaucer

O yonge fresshe folkes, he or she,
In which that love up groweth with your age,
Repeyreth hoom from worldly vanitee,
And of your herte up-casteth the visage
To thilke god that after his image
Yow made, and thinketh al nis but a fayre
This world, that passeth sone as floures fayre.

And loveth him, the which that right for love
Upon a cros, our soules for to beye,
First starf, and roos, and sit in hevene a-bove;
For he nil falsen no wight, dar I seye,
That wol his herte al hoolly on him leye.
And sin he best to love is, and most meke,
What nedeth feyned loves for to seke?

There Aren't Many Things I've Gotten Right
by Nicholas Gordon

There aren't many things I've gotten right.
How you stay with me I'll never know.
All I can say is that I love you deeply,
Nor could I stand the pain if you should go,
Knowing what I know of wind and night.

Your love remains my passion and my light.
Only it can fill my heart completely.
Unless you love me, all my life's laid low.

My Love

Have you ever loved someone so deeply?
Have you ever looked into her eyes and seen her heart?
Have you ever wished just to hold her, not utter a word, and find her in this silence?
Have you ever thrilled at the possibility to lose her?
Have you ever found the life with her?
Have you noticed the sparkling stars with her?
Have you ever felt utterly nothing without her?
I have.
