The Garden of Love
Poems About Love By William Blake

I went to the Garden of Love.
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.

And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And Thou shalt not. writ over the door;
So I turn'd to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore.

And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires.

Love in paradise
by Lizzy

Love in paradise is a dream,
although we are in a sream.
we have the power to make love right,
but then we will get in a fight.
girls have power to the light,
boys have power to the night.
love in paradise is right,
but people don't sight the one whose right.

Only One
Poem About Love by Livealittle

One look
One rose
One kiss
One touch
Thats all it took for me to fall in love with you
With one look I knew I was yours
With one rose I knew you loved me
With one kiss there was nothing that I wanted to miss
And one touch to my heart you had the key
Your everywhere I want to be

One time
One promise
One thought
One love
In one time there was no turning back
With one promise I believed in everything you said
All it took was one though of you and everything was prefect
You are my one love

All it took was
One look
One rose
One kiss
One touch
One time
One promise
And one thought
To know that your everything I need .

It's the small Things

It's the things you do
When no one else sees

I am not speaking of between the sheets

It's the small things
That make me love you

The way you prepare my day
And think of little ways
To show me you care

It is the small things
That warm the heart

It is what no one else sees
It is what you do
Just for me.

Truth Is Rarely an Expression of Love
By Nicholas Gordon

Truth is rarely an expression of love:
Honesty most often precedes pain.
In hope there is the fragrance of illusion;
Romance requires the charm of light confusion;
The best lovers are criminally insane.
Yet lies, eventually, will suck out passion.

One must be truthful if one hopes to love:
Not cruelly, but enough to ease delusion.
Each love must be broken, then built back again.

Wedlock
Poem about Love Benjamin Franklin

Wedlock, as old men note, hath likened been,
Unto a public crowd or common rout;
Where those that are without would fain get in,
And those that are within, would fain get out.
Grief often treads upon the heels of pleasure,
Marry'd in haste, we oft repent at leisure;
Some by experience find these words missplaced,
Marry'd at leisure, they repent in haste.

You Are Everything I Ever Wanted
By Nicholas Gordon

You are everything I ever wanted.
On you my future happiness depends.
Unless I'm with you all my thoughts are haunted.
After seeing you, my unease ends.
Reason warns me that I am in danger:
Eventually, everything must fade.
My love, like yours, is flammable in anger.
Yet my trust is such, I'm not afraid.
Something in our love's more than emotion,
Underneath each thought and each desire;
Not even all the water in the ocean
Seems up to putting out this one small fire.
How could this be? Within our love is something
Immeasurable, infinite, and good.
Nothing in all life can match this one thing
Each other passion would be, if it could.
